Historical significance

Raymor Tapware was a privately owned Australian company that began operating as a manufacturer and distributor of tapware back in 1947. The Raymor brand quickly gained a reputation throughout the plumbing and building industry as an innovative producer of quality tapware.

In 1995 GE Crane & Sons (now Crane Group Limited) identified the long-term value of Raymor and acquired the business.

The Raymor brand was launched in the New Zealand market in 2006 with a range of tapware, toilets, basins and bathroom accessories. Raymor is widely respected in the industry and continues to develop products that meet the demanding requirements of modern launches, bathrooms and kitchens.

Now the private brand of Crane Distribution Limited, Raymor is sold throughout New Zealand through the following outlets:

  • Mico Bathrooms
  • Mico Plumbing
  • Mastertrade
Quality and design elegance

Raymor products have received many prestigious design awards. Some examples of the company’s leading designs include:

  • being the first in Australia to develop single hole mixer products.

Raymor taps are on permanent display in the Museum of Arts and Sciences, New South Wales (The Powerhouse Museum) as excellent examples of Australian design.

All products within the range comply with the company’s strict criteria of simply, yet classical design, excellent function, fine engineering, low maintenance and value for money. Many of Australia’s outstanding contemporary buildings have had these same criteria applied to their fittings, and Raymor has been their first choice.
